Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 19, 2026
BDIX Tester is published by Nurullah Sadekeen. The app does not require an account and does not ask users to provide a name, email address, phone number, or payment information.
Information processed
- Wi-Fi network name (SSID), local IP address, subnet, gateway, Wi-Fi band, and negotiated link speed for connection diagnostics and locally saved network profiles.
- Public IP address, country, ISP, organization, and autonomous system information returned by IPWhoIs or IP-API to identify the current internet provider.
- Server URLs, HTTP status, response time, and test time while scanning configured or user-added servers.
- Bookmarks, custom servers, scan profiles, and download history saved locally on the device.
- Device and advertising information processed by Google Mobile Ads to request, deliver, measure, and prevent abuse of banner and rewarded advertisements.
- Technical configuration requests made to Firebase Remote Config to retrieve the current server directory.
The app does not sell personal information. It does not upload locally saved bookmarks, profiles, custom servers, or download history to Nurullah Sadekeen.
Permissions
On supported Android versions, the app requests nearby Wi-Fi and/or location permission because Android requires those permissions to read the connected Wi-Fi name. The app uses that access for network identification and diagnostics, not to build a physical-location history. Network and internet permissions are used to scan servers, run diagnostics, open user-selected portals, retrieve configuration, download user-selected files, and display ads.
Third-party services
- Google Firebase Remote Config for server-directory updates.
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads for advertising.
- IPWhoIs (
ipwho.is) and IP-API (ip-api.com) for public IP and ISP identification. - Cloudflare's speed-test endpoint for the optional internet throughput test.
- Server and media hosts selected by the user or contained in the active server directory.
These providers may receive the user's IP address and ordinary request metadata and process data under their own privacy policies. Content opened in the in-app browser is provided by independent third-party sites; their policies apply to activity on those sites.
Storage and retention
Bookmarks, custom servers, network profiles, and download history stay on the device until the user removes them, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app. The app does not operate a publisher-controlled account database. Third-party providers retain information according to their own policies.
User choices
Users can deny optional Wi-Fi/location access, although Wi-Fi naming and some diagnostics may then be unavailable. Users can delete local records in the app where a delete control is provided, or remove all local app data through Android settings or by uninstalling the app. Advertising choices can be managed through Android and Google ad settings.
Security
The app uses platform storage and transport protections where supported. Some legacy BDIX portals use unencrypted HTTP; traffic to those portals is not protected by HTTPS. Users should not enter passwords or sensitive personal information into untrusted HTTP sites.
Children
BDIX Tester is a general network utility and is not directed to children under 13. Nurullah Sadekeen does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Changes
This policy may be updated when app features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
